Andy and his wife, Jamie, raised their family here. Jamie teaches at Parkview Elementary, the same public school Andy attended as a child. It's also the same elementary school their children attended. Andy is proud their children are both graduates of Del City High School like their dad. Andy and his family attend Sunny Lane United Methodist Church. He has served the church in a variety of roles. He is a Sunday School teacher and has been chairman of both the church’s administrative council and the SPRC. Of course, Andy is also a proud member of the Sunny Lane UMC Orchestra!

Servant Leader
Andy knows that leadership doesn’t come from being elected. It comes from what you do every day to serve and participate in your community. Andy Stands With Teachers
Andy with some of the great teachers he had when attended Parkview Elementary, Kerr Junior High and Del City High School.
When he isn’t involved in legislative activities, Andy can usually be found in one of our local schools. He has spent decades volunteering and tutoring in the Mid-Del and Oklahoma City Public Schools. Andy was blessed with wonderful teachers and he honors them by passing along what he’s learned to the next generation.
Andy is very passionate about the civics education and engagement of our students. That’s why he has been involved as a facilitator and instructor for the Oklahoma Close Up program since 1985.
Oklahoma Close Up is an educational program designed to provide students an experiential, hands-on learning program about Oklahoma state government. The program is open to all Oklahoma high school students and provides opportunities to discuss issues with some of the leading officials in state government.
Andy might also be found performing on the trombone. He is a founding member of the Mid-Del Jazz Orchestra and an active, first-call trombone player with other area bands including Oklahoma City’s Talk of the Town big band.
